| Beginner A style of hatha yoga recommended for new students (or those returning to yoga). Fundamental yoga postures are taught with an emphasis on standing poses for developing strength, stability, alignment and poise. Shoulder balance will be introduced. Breath awareness, and conscious, systematic relaxation are cultivated to develop an internal focus. Props are utilized to modify and create the most beneficial posture possible. This class builds the foundation for proper alignment and practice through a balance of strength and flexibility. |

| General For all levels of students interested in deepening their knowledge and practice of Iyengar yoga. Focus is on the Iyengar yoga principles of attention to anatomical detail and proper alignment while in postures, breath work and conscious relaxation. All postures are taught with an emphasis on developing strength with flexibility to create integrity and support of the joints and stability of the nervous system. Beginners and those new to Iyengar Yoga are welcome in these classes. |
